There’s something special about learning Jin Shin Jyutsu in a place where the work has been lived, practiced, and loved for many years. This four-day immersive class returns to Alaqua Animal Refuge, Adele’s long-time home base on Florida’s Emerald Coast, where the Art naturally unfolds through connection with the animals.

The beautiful 100 acres of Alaqua Animal Refuge provide a rich, living classroom where the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu comes alive through direct, heart-centered experiences with the animals.

Through classroom instruction, guided self-help, and hands-on practice with Alaqua’s dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, goats, and tortoises—who live at the refuge while waiting for their forever families—students experience Jin Shin Jyutsu as a living, breathing practice: a way of living with animals.

If you’re longing for a deeper bond with animals and a meaningful way to support their balance and well-being, this class is for you. The class is open to students new to the Art as well as long-time practitioners. It also counts toward the multi-species requirement for certification in JSJ for Your Animal Companions.

Tuition: $675 Early Bird: $650 through August 8, 2026 • $25 Textbook • $10 Chart

Refund / Cancellation Policy: Tuition is fully refundable for cancellations received up to 30 days prior to the class start date. A $200 cancellation fee applies for cancellations received fewer than 30 days before the class begins.

Another big bonus about the class this year is that Laurie Hood, the founder, has renovated the old office at the old property into a wonderful vacation rental, which students can rent. Another great thing about this space… is that there are horses, cats, ducks and other happy animals to see out every window. It is about a 10 minute drive from the old property to the new refuge, where we will have class.
